ECSU Volleyball Prepares for First Post Season Appearance in School History

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team will face California University of Pennsylvania in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship on Thursday, November 20th at 7:30pm

The Lady Vikings (31-9) earned an automatic berth in the regional playoff as the 2008 CIAA Volleyball Champion. They will enter Thursday's match as the #8 seed in the Atlantic region against the host and top seeded Lady Vulcans (37-1).

Thursday's other games include #3 Edinboro versus #6 Slippery Rock at 12 noon, #7 West Virginia State versus #2 Wheeling Jesuit at 2:30pm and #5 Mercyhurst versus #4 Lock Haven at 5:00pm.

If ECSU advances they will face the winner of the Mercyhurst/Lock Haven matchup Friday at 7:30pm. The Regional Championship match with be played at 7:30 on Saturday, November 22nd.
