ECSU VOLLEYBALL SET TO FACE BOWIE STATE IN CIAA SEMI-FINALS

Lady Vikings go Undefeated on Day One; Advance to Semi-Final for the Second Straight Season

HAMPTON, VA- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings will face Bowie State University in the first semi-final tomorrow at 5:00pm at the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

ECSU, the top seed in the Eastern Division, (29-9) downed their competition in Friday's Pool A, defeating Johnson C. Smith University, Virginia State University and Saint Augustine's College. The Lady Vikings swept each match 3-0 and will enter Saturday's semi-final as the top seed against Bowie State University. The Lady Bulldogs posted a 2-1 record and will be the #2 seed out of Pool B.

Fayetteville State University, the defending CIAA Champions and the top seed from the Western Division, will take on Saint Augustine's College in the day's second semi-final at 7:00pm. Admission is free to the 2008 CIAA Volleyball Championships.
