ECSU TENNIS DROPS DOUBLE HEADER TO SAINT PAUL?S
March 7, 2005 LAWRENCEVILLE, VA- The Elizabeth City State University Tennis team loss their season opener to Saint Paul's College in a CIAA double header on Monday afternoon. Although both the single and doubles matches were closely contested, the Lady Tigers managed to edge the Lady Vikings in afternoon competition. A bright spot for ECSU, Kendra Whidbee won both her singles matches. In addition Halimatu Feika and Carla Layton both split their singles match-ups. However it was not enough as the Lady Tigers swept both doubles matches and amassed four singles victories. The Lady Vikings fall to 0-2 and will face Shaw University on Wednesday afternoon at Raleigh Park in Raleigh, NC. |
