ECSU LADY VIKINGS BREEZE PAST VIRGINIA UNION 10-1 IN CIAA DOUBLEHEADER ACTION

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings defeated the Virginia Union University Lady Panthers 10-1 in CIAA softball action Friday afternoon. The Lady Vikings got on the scoreboard first collecting four runs in the 1st inning. They would add a run in the 2nd and five more in their half of the 4th to improve to 10-11 (CIAA 10-7) on the year. ECSU amassed their 10 runs on 10 hits and one Lady Panther error. Just the opposite, Virginia Union struggled to find their offense managing only 2 hits for the game. Tiffany Smith led the way the way for the Lady Vikings going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs. On the mound for ECSU, Livia Baker evened her record as a starter at 4-4 while going 2-for-3 at the plate with2 RBIs. Rochelle Edington recorded the loss for Virginia Union.
