ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State Lady Viking softball team won their fifth straight game with a 11-5 win over Shaw University Tuesday afternoon.

With the win the Lady Vikings improve to 5-8 overall and 5-4 in the CIAA.

The Lady Bears held an early 4-0 lead before ECSU got on the board with 2 runs in the third. Then with two on in the bottom of the 4th Alicia Graham put the Lady Vikings ahead with a 3-run homer and a 5-4 advantage. Three batters later, Shaneetha Holley smacked in her own three-run homer to push the Lady Viking to 8-5. From there, each team would add a run in the 5th inning and ECSU would score two more in the 6th for the final point spread. Alicia Graham improves to 3-6 as a starter allowing only one earned run in while striking out 10.
