ECSU LADY VIKINGS SAIL PAST LIVINGSTONE COLLEGE 20-4 IN CIAA SOFTBALL ACTION

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University softball team earned their third straight victory with a 20-4 win over Livingstone College Monday afternoon. With the win, ECSU improves to 3-8 overall and 3-4 in CIAA play. The Livingstone Lady Blue Bears, who committed five errors, fall to 0-8 both overall and in conference play. The Lady Vikings came out swinging early and by the close of the first inning, held an 8-0 advantage. Offensively ECSU would not let up scoring in each inning including 4 in the 3rd and in their final at bat in the 4th exploded for 7 more runs. Junior pitcher Alicia Graham went the distance allowing 4 runs on 5 hits while striking out 7. Shaneetha Holley (3-for-4) finished the day with a bases clearing triple in the bottom of the fourth for a career high 6 RBIs on the afternoon.
