ECSU ELIMINATED FROM CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY
November 8, 2004 DURHAM, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings' season has ended at the CIAA Bowling Championship. In the first round, the Lady Vikings lost to the #1 seeded Shaw University Lady Bears. The loss force ECSU to the loser's bracket where they met and eliminated Virginia State University. The win kept the Lady Vikings alive and pitted them in a rematch against Shaw, who had faltered in 3-2 decision to Bowie State University. Unfortunately for the Lady Vikings the results would yield the same results as Shaw pulled out a 3-2 victory over ECSU. Four teams remain in contention for the CIAA Championship. They are Shaw University, Winston-Salem State, Fayetteville State, and Bowie State University. |
