LADY VIKINGS' FREEMAN TABBED AS CIAA WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University sophomore guard Joyce Freeman has been named CIAA Women's Player of the Week as announced by the CIAA Office.

In the Lady Vikings 74-58 win over Newport News Apprentice on December 19th in Elizabeth City, Freeman led all scorers with a career high 18 points. The Vanceboro, NC native is the Lady Vikings second leading scorer averaging 10.0 points per game which ranks 15th in the CIAA. The recognition represents the first Player of the Week honor of her career.
