Senior guard Cheniece Arthur scored 10 point in the Lady Vikings' 55-52 win over UDC on Monday night in Washington, DC. Her three-pointer with three seconds remaining sealed the win for ECSU and handed the Lady Firebirds their first loss of the season.

WASHINGTON, DC- Senior guard Cheniece Arthur connected on a three-pointer with three seconds remaining to lift the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings past the University of the District of Columbia 55-52 Monday evening at the Physical Activities Center.

The three-pointer represented the third triple of the Baltimore, MC native's career and the first since connecting on the other two her freshman year. She finished the game with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting with 3 rebounds, a block, an assist and a steal.

The game's final score gives UDC (5-1) its first loss of the season. Celeste Trahan was the only other Lady Viking in double figures, leading all scorers with 29 points and a game high 14 rebounds. That double-double represents the 67th of her career while her point total moved her into 13thall-time on the CIAA scoring list. Sophomore April Whitaker chipped in with a career best 11 rebounds in the win.

The Lady Vikings shot a season best 47% (21-44) from the floor while the Lady Firebirds were a dismal 16-for-58 (27%) from the field. Lillian McGill paced UDC with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Vikings (3-2) will return to action on December 7-8 in Durham, NC at the Lady Eagle Classic hosted by North Carolina Central University.
