LADY BULLDOGS EARN SEASON SPLIT WITH 63-52 WIN OVER ECSU LADY VIKINGS :: Bowie State Earns 20th Win as They Wrap Up CIAA Schedule at Home

BOWIE, MD- Bowie State University handed the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings a 63-52 loss Tuesday evening at A.C. Jordan Arena.

With the win the Lady Bulldogs close out divisional play at with a 7-1 record and clinch the CIAA Eastern Division crown.

Bowie State's bench outscored the ECSU reserves 16-2 and netted 28 points off Lady Viking miscues. The game was close the entire way however the Lady Bulldogs got over the top behind the play of guard Bianca Lee. Lee, who scored a game high 21 points, tallied 12 of those points in the second half. Sherika Thomas added 15 points as BSU improves to 20-5 overall and 14-4 in the CIAA.

April Whitaker paced ECSU with a team high 13 points and a career best 18 rebounds.

ECSU (12-14, CIAA 5-12) will close out the regular season on Thursday when they travel to face Virginia Union University in Richmond. Game time is slated for 5:30pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
