ECSU GOLF PLACES FOURTH AT CIAA EARLY BIRD TOURNAMENT

LOUISBURG, NC- Elizabeth City State University sophomore golfer Dustin Boothe shot a 74 to place second overall at the Early Bird Tournament on Sunday.

The Tournament serves as a prelude to the Western Division Championship Tournament which will take place Monday and Tuesday.

Out of the six team field, the Vikings placed fourth overall behind Winston-Salem State (327), Johnson C. Smith and Saint Augustine's. Virginia State and Shaw University rounded out the field. Also placing in the top ten for ECSU was Camden, NC native Charlie Becker. Becker finished with an 80, good for eight overall. Leading the individual scorers was Saint Augustine's Kethan Stuart who bested Dustin Boothe by one stroke with a 73. The team and individual scores are as follows:
