ECSU Golf Places Second In Season Opener

Elizabeth City, NC - The Elizabeth City State University placed second in its season opener at the Bide-A-Wee golf course in Portsmouth, VA on Wednesday. Virginia State University finished first with a team score of 477 followed by the Vikings with 518. Shaw University placed third with a total of 590.
Freshman Dustin Boothe, a 2004 graduate of Currituck County High School, led the entire field with an individual best of 82. Senior Kevin Moore was second best for ECSU with124 while Johnithan White and Steven Parker finished with 152 and 160, respectively.
The ECSU Golf team will return to action this Sunday, March 13 as they travel to Winston-Salem, NC for the 2005 CIAA Western Division Championship Tournament. During this two-day event, ECSU will be one of ten teams that will compete at Winston Lake Golf Club in Winston-Salem. The March 9th results are as follows:
