Junior Cornerback Ranks First in the Conference in Passes Defended

HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University junior cornerback Justin Hamilton has been named CIAA Defensive Back of the Week as released by the conference office Monday afternoon.

In the Vikings 36-13 win over Virginia Union University, Hamilton had three tackles, forced two fumbles, returned two interceptions for 53 yards and returned a blocked extra point attempt for two points. He leads the CIAA in passes defended with 18 total in 2008 and leads the Vikings with 5 interceptions returned for 74 yards. A native of Washington, DC Hamilton has 15 career interceptions returned for a total of 200 yards.
