HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State's Jeff Lynn, Jr. has been named CIAA Defensive Back of the Week as announced by the CIAA office Monday afternoon.

Jeff Lynn, Jr. has been named the CIAA Defensive Back of the Week for his showing against Lincoln University of Pennsylvania this past Saturday. Against the Lions the Wilson, NC native had 2 interceptions returned for 39 yards and three pass breakups. He also had three solo tackles including one for a loss of 7 yards in the Vikings' 70-6 victory at Lincoln's first football Homecoming in 48 years.

Currently he is tied at 3rd in the CIAA for interceptions with 4 returned for 75 yards this season

The Vikings will take the field again on Saturday, October 25th for Homecoming 2008 against Saint Paul's College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm at Roebuck Stadium. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
