MOORE IS KEY IN NORTHEAST'S 24-7 AMERICAN HERITAGE BOWL WIN

Jan. 28, 2008

FULLERTON, CA-All-CIAA defensive lineman Greg Moore was tabbed as the MVP of the 2008 American Heritage Bowl in the Northeast's 24-7 victory over Southwest Saturday night at Titan Field on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.

Moore finished the game with 3 tackles, a sack and an interception returned 8-yards for a touchdown en route to Defensive MVP honors. Chris Wallace threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Arkansas-Pine Bluff teammate Jay Jones to put the Northeast ahead 14-7 with 4:36 left in the third quarter. Jones also had a 24-yard reception and was honored as the offensive player of the game, which featured seniors from historically black colleges and raised funds for severely injured military personnel.

Moore's interception returned for a touchdown tied the score a 7 apiece early in the contest.
