The 2009 season will mark the fifth year for Calvin Hudgins as the coach of the Running Backs. Elizabeth City State University will look to Hudgins to continue to bring his well- known toughness and determination to his collegiate coaching job. He comes to ECSU after spending a year with Currituck County High School where he coached the wide receivers and special teams. Hudgins played football for the Vikings from 2000-2003 as both a running back and punt/kickoff return man. In 2002 he was named the special teams Player of the Year. He earned his B.S. in Physical Education with a concentration in Aquatics and Fitness in 2004. Currently he is a physical education teacher in Elizabeth city Public Schools. Hudgins is a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and a graduate of Rocky Mount Senior High School. He is the proud father of two daughters Dy'Taisha and Valerie. |
