Hilliard Gets Fourth Player of the Week Honor While Walker Voted Top Coach for Fifth Time

HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State junior guard Anthony Hilliard and head coach Shawn Walker have been named CIAA Player and Coach of the Week as released by the conference office Monday.

In the Vikings' win over Saint Augustine's, Anthony Hilliard posted game highs of 30 points and 12 rebounds. He also led the Vikings past the University of the District of Columbia with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Virginia State with 17 points and 10 rebounds. This represents the Fayetteville, NC native's fourth Player of the Week honor of the season

Head coach Shawn Walker led his team to a 3-0 record last week to earn Coach of the Week honors for the fifth time. ECSU avenged three of its four losses this season with wins over UDC, Saint Augustine's and Virginia State. The Vikings wrapped up their regular home season sporting an unblemished 12-0 record.
