HILLIARD, WALKER RECEIVE WEEKLY CONFERENCE HONORS AGAIN

Hilliard Garners Third Straight Honor, Walker Gets Fourth Coach of Week Nod

HAMPTON, VA-Elizabeth City State guard/forward Anthony Hilliard and head coach Shawn Walker have once again been honored as the CIAA's top player and coach.

For the third week in a row Anthony Hilliard has been named CIAA Player of the Week. A native of Fayetteville, Hilliard returned to his hometown and led his team to a victory at Fayetteville State for the first time since he donned an ECSU uniform. He also scored 22 points versus Shaw and had 17 points against Bowie State. He continues to lead the CIAA in both scoring and rebounding and ranks third in NCAA Division II in rebounding.

Shawn Walker led ECSU to a 3-0 record last week, defeating Bowie State at home before picking up road wins at Fayetteville State and Shaw. ECSU remains unbeaten at home and after reeling off eight straight wins are in second place in the CIAA Eastern Division
