VIKINGS, PANTHERS TO BE TELEVISED LIVE AT VAUGHAN CENTER THIS SUNDAY

ECSU, Virginia Union to be Broadcast Live at 4:00 p.m., Women's Game to Begin at 6:00 p.m.

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Elizabeth City State University and Virginia Union University are set to meet in CIAA doubleheader this Sunday with the men's game being televised live at 4:00 p.m.

The men's game will feature a re-match of the last year's CIAA Championship game where the Vikings defeated Virginia Union 63-60 in Charlotte, NC. Ironically just one week prior to their meeting in the Finals, the two teams met in a televised game at the R.L. Vaughan Center on February 24, 2007 where the Panthers handed ECSU a 95-94 double overtime loss. Before they clash on Sunday each team will hit the road on Thursday January 24. VUU (13-2, CIAA 8-1) will travel to Charlotte, NC to face Johnson C. Smith while Vikings (10-4, CIAA 4-3) will trek to Lawrenceville, VA to battle Saint Paul's College.
