ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State Vikings improved to 2-0 overall with a 97-79 win over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Saturday night at the RL Vaughan Center.

After holding a slim 46-43 lead at the intermission the Vikings exploded for 51 second half points. The scoring output was helped by a 7-11 performance from behind the three-point line in the second stanza. Overall ECSU shot 48% from the floor (31-64) in the game and outrebounded the Lions (0-5) 52-30.

In his Viking debut at the Vaughan Center, DeJuan Morrison led all scorers with 22 points, including five three-pointers. Carl Ross notched a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards while Anthony Hilliard fell one rebound short of his own with 19 points and 9 rebounds.

Bryant Leach and Damian Hyman led Lincoln with 21 and 17 points, respectively.
