ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Meshaw Taylor, a member of the Elizabeth City State University baseball team, has been named to the 2007 Daktronics, Inc. All-South Atlantic Region Second Team as released on Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor, who plays short stop for the Vikings, was named the 2007 CIAA Player of the Year earlier this spring. During the regular season the junior, who hails from Greensboro, NC, ranked 2nd in the CIAA in both doubles and assists while ranking third overall in batting average. He led the Vikings this year in at bats, runs scored and hits and was second in RBI. He is one of only two players form CIAA member schools to be honored.
