Weather Permitting The Vikings Will Open Up CIAA Schedule Saturday at Shaw University

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The baseball game between Elizabeth City State University and Chowan College scheduled for Tuesday, March 21 in Murfreesboro has been postponed.

The postponement, which is due to impending inclement weather, will give the Vikings six days to prepare for their CIAA opener against Shaw University in Raleigh, NC on Saturday. It will also afford ECSU some much need rest after a seven-day, seven-game road trip last week in which they went 5-2. Last week ECSU took victories Voorhees College (two games) Benedict College, Claflin University and Morris College. Against those five wins The Vikings suffered 9-8 and 10-7 decision against the Tigers of Benedict College on March 15th. ECSU (9-7 overall) will finish out the month of March with all their games on the road before hold their last four doubleheaders at home beginning April 3rd against Shaw University.
