ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Viking baseball team completed the season sweep of the Saint Paul's College Tigers with a 16-5 win in game two of their CIAA doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Vikings improve to 6-4 in conference play and 15-11 overall.

Chris Taylor, who is usually the starting catcher for the Vikings, picked up his first win as a starting pitcher to improve to 1-1 on the year. Taylor pitched a complete game, striking out 8 batters. Offensively The Vikings showed little mercy for the winless Tigers as scoring 9 runs in the 3rd inning to seal the win. Stanley Smith, who replaced Taylor as the starting catcher , had impressive outing behind the plate and at bat registering 8 putouts and an assist, while going 2-for4 with a team high 4 RBIs.
